Resurrection Ranch Giving

New Testament giving comes out of the revelation that as Sons and Daughters of God, God freely provides for us according to the riches of His glory with no strings attached. (Romans 8:15-16, Philippians 4:19)

 

Giving is an act of grace through faith in the provision and blessing of God in Christ Jesus and should be compelled by love through our relationship with the Holy Spirit as the Holy Spirit moves on our hearts to give. (2 Corinthians 8:6-7)

 

Giving should not be motivated by carrots and sticks. This means that we should not be motivated to give out of a sense of obligation fearing punishment or retribution if we do not. Likewise we should not give to get or give because we believe that we will receive something in return from God or someone else. We are fully blessed in Christ Jesus as Children of God. Freely we have been given so now freely we can give. (Matthew 10:8) 

 

God loves a cheerful giver. We are blessed and provided for because of Jesus’ perfect obedience. He became poor, so that through His poverty we are now richly provided for. (2 Corinthians 8:9, 9:7, 10:5) 

 

God places monetary value on the work of ministry including prayer, worship, preaching, blogging, writing and any other possible way we can spread the message of the gospel to the world.
